Research - Codes and Conventions

A 'Corporate Promo' is a video in which promotes a particular company or brand etc. The corporate side to a CP could be a brand such a nike, a restaurant or even a band. There are many various types of tp the promo side such as advertisement, health anouncements, training videos, product analysis, promotion and music videos. They could also be in various formats such as motion picture, stop motion or animation.

Codes and conventions of corporate promos consist of:
  • interviews
  • logos 
  • pictures
  • voice overs
  • sound tracks
  • tag lines/slogans
Tips for a great promo
  • good lighting
  • good sound quality 
  • appropriate and simple clothing
  • plan what you're going to say - write a script 
  • keep it short and to the point 
  • back up your claims with proof
  • stick to one location
  • engage with your audience - imagine you're talking to someone off camera
  • end with a proposition
