Our first briefing with the client was when Perry McCarthy approached our class requiring an ident for his company/name. The bid was offered to approximately 50 students with the reward of the ident featuring on his website and the possibility of further work with the client.
The client gave very little brief to stick to apart from it must be feature 'Perry McCarthy' or 'The Original Stig', include some kind of animation, advertise motoring and be no longer than 10 seconds. With this brief we had to research the client to find what kind of work he does, what his target audience is and look at his website to see; any type of format we should stick to, existing idents, logos or colour schemes.
After researching we mind-mapped our ideas and planned through sketches and storyboards. We then went on to creating our ident through After Effects, using images from google such as pictures of Perry, cars, tracks etc.
